River made our day in June 2014. We had crazy plans to surprise our guests at our 50th birthday celebration with an unexpected wedding ceremony. With 3 weeks notice and a certain amount of nerves as to whether we could pull it off, River spent time with us both to ensure that our ceremony was just how we imagined it would be. Her attention to us as a couple, as individuals and to our children who all played their part in the ceremony felt incredibly special. To this day it remains a magical memory in our family and is still much talked about by friends as the "Best Wedding Ever!" Our special thanks go to River for eternity.

River absolutely made our wedding. We knew we didn't want anything religious, rigid or dull! The wedding was outdoors, chilled, fun and all about us. River was amazing. Our ceremony was fabulous.
We had met River and chatted before the big day, so felt totally at ease. The ceremony was funny, personal, tender, tearful, happy and beautiful.
Everyone at our day was so moved by the ceremony. I can not recommended River highly enough. Her skill to bring everything together, make everyone feel included and make the day shine is rare.

We asked River to be our celebrant as we didn't feel a traditional wedding ceremony was right for us. We wanted to integrate our own ideas about marriage and connect this with nature and community. We had no idea where to begin! We first met with River on a autumnal afternoon where we sat discussing our lives, relationship and thoughts on the day itself. It was informal and guided by River's expert facilitation. During this time River was able to draw out the key ideas which were of most importance to us and creatively bring this together with her knowledge and understanding of community celebrations, ancient forms of union and handfasting. The final result was a day which was entirely unique, authentic to who we are as a couple and grounded in the things that mattered most to us. The ceremony itself had warmth and humour as well deep feeling, all of which I think are testimony to the way River is able to facilitate and hold space. To put it simply, it was perfect. It was perfect because of River and the time and dedication she put into creating a ceremony inline with what we had imagined. We will be forever grateful.

Our celebration of marriage was made so special by you Riv. You really put our whole journey together - everything we have been through - into such a perfect story for us and our guests to enjoy. We loved the way you combined the Batak and western cultures together to make our ceremony so inclusive and memorable.
We thought it was pretty amazing how you put together the perfect ceremony for us even though we didn't think we knew what we wanted! But somehow you made it just how we wanted- through all the thought you put into it and how you really took into account our personalities. It was so unique and made us both feel so special!

From our first meeting right through to the ceremony she was excellent. She guided and supported us to help make our own vows and the ceremony she prepared couldn't have been more perfect. It was personalised, meaningful, thought provoking and fun.
None of our guests had ever been to a handfasting before, some of them didn't even know what a handfasting was , but throughout the whole ceremony, everyone was entranced, and the number of comments on what an amazing ceremony it was was unbelievable. Quite a few of the unattached guests told us it was exactly what they would like if they ever tied the knot !!

Thank you so much for making yesterday such a special occasion. So many people said how amazing and lovely the ceremony was, some had never been to anything like it before and were very moved, as we were. It was lovely to be supported by you, bringing us together and focusing on what is important to us and where we want to be. The garden has a wonderful energy in it today. It feels very calm and it will hold some very special memories including being sheltered by you under a brolly whilst Vin sang Hotel Yorba!

We wanted to say a huge thank you for being part of our wonderful journey second time round. You have given Reuben the most magical, heartfelt and memorable Naming Ceremony we could have ever asked for. It was important for us that we made sure, you would be delivering Reuben’s Naming Ceremony after giving us such a special blessing at our wedding four years ago. How wonderful that you could be in our lives again this many years later but for another type of ceremony this time! You always make the ceremony unique and engaging for us and our guests. A lot of our family and friends said it was great to see you again after they attended our wedding and only had kind words to say about you. You definitely impressed everyone again second time round! We absolutely loved your suggestion where we asked our guests to bring along a bead to represent a blessing. Reuben now has a special keepsake for the rest of his life to remember and mark the day! We loved how you told Reuben's and our story, again so beautifully tailoring this to us! We are grateful you gently encouraged Craig to play his guitar for the big day, which was so special and fun! We thank you for this as we both loved this element during the ceremony. Finally, your blessing at the end for Reuben was so heartwarming, we will treasure these words forever. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and looking forward to the next time we work with you!
